Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel will inaugurate Sickle Cell Management Centers on October 30 at 12 noon through video conferencing from the Chief Minister’s residence. Along with this, he will be on tour of Durg and Raipur district and will participate in local programs organized there.
It is noteworthy that in order to effectively combat the problem of sickle cell, a new Sickle Cell Management Center is being established by the Department of Health and Family Welfare. These centers will be operated in all medical college hospitals and all district hospitals of the state. These centers will provide sickle cell test and treatment along with screening by salubrity test through hospital laboratory and confirmation by electrophoresis/innovative point of care (POC) test. The electronic entry tax list of every sickle cell patient receiving treatment in these centers will be maintained in the portal of Sickle Cell Institute and they will be contacted for regular follow-up and taking medicines.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel will leave the Chief Minister’s residence Raipur at 4 pm and will reach village Matang of Patan development block of Durg district at 4.30 pm and there will be a program to unveil the statue of Late Shri Panthram Verma. After this, leaving from village Matang at 5 pm, Mahadev Ghat will reach Raipur at 5.30 pm and will be involved in Chhath Puja program there.
