Raipur: Bhupesh Baghel invites tourism industry of Assam to invest in Chhattisgarh: Chief Minister interacts with officials and members of tourism industry

Chhattisgarh Tourism Board held a meeting in Guwahati

Raipur, 17 February 2021. To promote tourism industry in Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has invited tour operators, travel agents and hotel-entrepreneurs from Assam to invest in Chhattisgarh. The conversation took place today in a B-to-B meeting organized by the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board in Assam’s capital Guwahati. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel informed the people associated with the Assam Tourism Industry about the characteristics of tourist destinations in Chhattisgarh, efforts made by the state government for its promotion and tourism policy.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel briefed the officials and members of the Assam State Hotel and Travel Agency invited to the meeting about the immense possibilities of tourism in Chhattisgarh. He said that the state government will provide all necessary help to those who have invested for the promotion and development of tourism in Chhattisgarh.

 

 

It is noteworthy that to promote tourism in the state, the new tourism policy has made many attractive provisions for tour operators, travel agencies, entrepreneurs and people associated with the hotel industry. Local businessmen as well as businessmen from other states are also being encouraged to invest here. The strategy of private, community and public participation has been adopted in the new policy. New infrastructures are being developed for all the necessary facilities of tourists. Construction of tribal tourism circuit in the state, Innovations such as installation of home stay system and guide training programs are also being done. Under the development of Ram Van Gaman tourism circuit, new tourist places are being developed on 1120 km long path. In the first phase of the scheme, 9 places associated with Lord Rama’s exile period are being selected and developed as a tourist-pilgrimage. This entire circuit covers 17 districts of the state. With the construction of this circuit, tourists coming to Chhattisgarh in the future will have a glimpse of the ancient culture and tradition of Chhattisgarh and can also get world class tourism facilities.
In this B-to-B meeting organized by the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board in Guwahati, Mr. Ranjit Das, President of Tour Operators Association of Assam, Mr. Sunil Saraf, President of Hotel and Restaurants Association, Secretary, Pranab Das, Executive Members Roza Rahman, Azana Rehman and Roopam Along with Vohra, more than 30 officials and members of the hotel and travel industries were also present.
