Chief Minister Mr.Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday reached Gopalpur village of Basna assembly constituency under Mahasamund district as a part of his mammoth public interaction drive ‘Bhent-Mulaqat Abhiyan’. He was cordially welcomed by the local people. On this occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel made several important announcements in Gopalpur for the development of the area and providing facilities to the public. He announced the opening of a sub-divisional office in Basna for people’s convenience. Along with this, he also announced the construction of a road from Lakhagarh village to Raja Sawaiyya Kala, the construction of an anicut in Bagh river, canal renovation and canal lining work in Devgaon reservoir, construction of Gaurav Path in Pithora Nagar Panchayat and platform with shed in the market place of Basna. He also announced to upgrade the High School of Memra village to a Higher Secondary School, upgrading the building of the Government Higher Secondary School Gopalpur and a new primary school building in Gram Panchayat Bhokludih. He also instructed the sarpanch of the gram panchayat to take immediate action for the forest rights letter. On this occasion, Home Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu, Basna MLA Mr. Devendra Bahadur Singh, Saraipali MLA Mr. Kismat Lal Nand, Zila Panchayat President Mrs. Usha Patel, many public representatives and people were present.

Addressing the public, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said that the state government has made schemes for every section. Policies and laws have been made in the state legislative assembly and they are taking feedback through the Bhent-Mulaqat Abhiyan on whether the schemes are being effectively implemented or not. He further added that they are meeting beneficiaries and taking feedback about the implementation of the schemes. Only four days are left for the state government to complete four years. In these four years, many decisions were taken in favour of the development of Chhattisgarh and in the interest of the state’s people. He further said that after taking oath on December 17, he went directly to the ministry and ordered to waive of farmers’ loans and increases the support price. The loan amount of Rs.9 thousand 50 crores of 19 lakh farmers was waived off. They are working to fulfil the promise that they have made to the public.

The Chief Minister said that under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, the amount was provided to the farmers in four instalments directly into their accounts. Farmers are using this amount for marriages and celebrating festivals. The Chief Minister said that a new scheme Rural Industrial Park has also been started, under which there will be 2 RIPA in every block, and Rs.2 crore has been provided for the development of each RIPA. Youth should take advantage of this scheme and, women are also engaged in this scheme. Arrangements have also been made for the sale of products. He also said that the state government is trying to increase the income of people and they are also focusing on education, and health. They are promoting the culture of Chhattisgarh and preparing the language writing system of Chhattisgarhi dialects.

During the Jan Chaupal, Kumari Pragya Sahu, a student of Swami Atmanand English Medium School, read out the Preamble of the Indian Constitution in English before Chief Minister Mr. Baghel. Chief Minister praised the little girl and told that everyone should know about the Indian constitution. Student Ms. Prabharani Patnaik also recited a self-composed poem which is focused on the personality of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel. At the request of a girl student, the Chief Minister gave instructions to halt the transfer order of two teachers from the Government Higher Secondary School of Amlidih. On receiving a complaint of not providing a patta to Mrs Bafulbai of Gopalpur, the sarpanch was instructed to pass a resolution in the Gram Sabha.

During the Jan Chaupal, Mrs. Domeshwari told that she has produced 1054 quintals of vermicompost and she has earned more than Rs. 4 lakh 2 thousand till now. She is spending this amount on her child’s school education. On this, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that they are following the path of self-reliance as per the vision of Mahatma Gandhi. Vermicompost is being made in around 9 thousand Gauthans. Arrangements have also been made for the sale of products. He said that self-supporting Gauthan can also provide funds for the development of villages.

Mr. Sanjay Patel, a farmer from Memra village, told the Chief Minister that he is cultivating fragrant paddy. Using vermicompost in the field are providing both health and farming benefits. Kapurchand Yadav of Gopalpur said that he had never ever thought that cow dung would be sold for Rs 2 a kg. Till now he has sold cow dung of more than 50 quintals. Shobharam Patel thanked the Chief Minister for Rajiv Gandhi Bhumiheen Krishi Majdoor Nyay under which he has received 3 instalments. A farmer named Mr. Rajendra Dadsena told that he has got a token for the sale of paddy. Mr. Kabir Sahu of Khairkhunta told that under the Haat Bazar Clinic Yojana, a Mobile Medical Unit van reaches the market every Friday and provides free blood tests, medicines and medical advice.
