Chhattisgarh’s tableau received appreciation from the national media in the preview held at the National Stadium

This time, a glimpse of Chhattisgarh’s cultural heritage and Ramnami community will be seen in Bharat Parv 2025 to be held at Red Fort in Delhi on the occasion of Republic Day. Chhattisgarh’s tableau is based on the theme of the Government of India ‘Golden India: Heritage and Development’. The tableau shows the rich and diverse cultural heritage of the state.
Chhattisgarh’s tableau received appreciation from the national media in the press preview held today at the National Stadium in Delhi. Through the tableau, it has been shown that there is a deep connection between life, nature and spirituality in the cultural heritage of Chhattisgarh. This tableau is presenting the unique cultural identity of the state by depicting the folk life, customs and traditions of Chhattisgarh.
The front part of the tableau shows a man and a woman representing the Ramnami community who worship the formless Ram. The word ‘Ram-Ram’ is inscribed on their bodies and clothes. They are shown reciting Ramcharitmanas. Near it, ghunghru (a pair of anklets) are displayed, which are used for bhajans. The middle part shows the attire, jewellery, artefacts and art traditions of the tribal culture. In this part, the trumpet musical instrument and the sulfi tree are prominently shown, which hold an important place in the folk life of Bastar. A peacock is depicted at the back of the tableau, which is a symbol of the beauty and vibrancy of folk life. Through the tableau, the cultural heritage of Chhattisgarh and the spirituality associated with nature have been deeply highlighted.
