The beneficiaries of the Chief Minister Special Health Assistance Scheme and their families met Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel at his residence office this evening and expressed their gratitude towards him for the help received for treatment under the scheme. These patients suffering from heart disease have been successfully treated in the ‘Advanced Cardiology’ department of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Hospital of the capital Raipur with the help received from the Chief Minister’s Special Health Assistance Scheme. These patients are now completely healthy. On this occasion, Dr. Smit Srivastava, Professor and HOD of the Department of Advanced Cardiology and Advisor to the Chief Minister, Mr. Ruchir Garg were also present.
The beneficiaries of the scheme and their family members expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister and said that with the help received from this scheme, the treatment of them and their family members has become possible. It was beyond his ability to get expensive treatment for a complex heart disease. These patients have received assistance ranging from Rs 7 to Rs 9.58 lakh through the scheme.
The beneficiary of the scheme, Shri Manmohan Lodhi, resident of Lodhi Para, Raipur, told that he is working in a private real estate company for Rs 12 thousand per month. He is the only earning member in his family. He received an assistance of Rs 4.5 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Special Health Assistance Scheme for his treatment, due to which he was treated in the Advanced Cardiac Unit after suffering a heart attack.
Dr. Smit Srivastava told the Chief Minister that Manmohan had reached the hospital within half an hour of HeartTech. The investigation revealed that there was a clot in one of his veins, which was converted into vapor through laser and the clot was removed from the vein. He told that this advanced technology was used for the first time in the Advanced Cardiac Unit of Mekahara, Raipur. He told that with the help received from this scheme, 300 people were treated for heart diseases and 250 children were treated for closing the hole in the heart in the Advanced Cardiac Unit. His unit has received assistance of approximately Rs 9 crore since 2018 from the Chief Minister Special Health Assistance Scheme.
Shri Vishal Ram Manikpuri of Murethi village was given Rs. 2.5 lakh, Mrs. Ganesha Bai Sahu of Raipur was given Rs. 06 lakh, Shri Laxmikant Sahu of Bhathagaon was given Rs. 06 lakh and Sandhya Agarwal of Arang was given Rs. 9 lakh 58 thousand for the treatment of heart disease. Help has been received. On this occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that getting expensive treatment is very difficult not only for the poor but also for the middle class families. To help them, Chief Minister Special Assistance Scheme has been started. In which assistance up to Rs 25 lakh is given for the treatment of complex diseases. Under this scheme, till now assistance worth more than Rs 79 crore has been provided to 2 thousand 643 patients for the treatment of complex diseases.
