inaugurated 196 development works worth Rs 792 crore and Bhoomi Pujan
Raipur, 04 December 2020. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel while addressing the general meeting in Jashpur Nagar today said that the resumption of Jashpur district from backwardness has begun. Today, the inauguration and foundation stone of various development works costing about 800 crore rupees is a fast step in this direction. Much work needs to be done in the area to increase traffic, irrigation facilities and connectivity. About 200 new development works in different villages of the district will give new momentum and direction to the development of the entire region. The Chief Minister held the General Assembly Hospital at Ranjita Stadium in Jashpur, Hospital in Sanna, Horticulture College in Kotba, Archery Academy in Jashpur, 9 km of road construction between Jashpur and Sanna, bridge construction on river Eib, garden hospital maintenance and 40 for Muktidham Announced to give lakh rupees. He also announced a 30-km road upgrade at Pratapgarh in Surajpur district.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said in the general meeting that the government is taking many steps for the economic strengthening of the people. To make the villages prosperous, works like Gouthan construction, pasture development, vermi compost construction and cow dung from cattle ranchers are being done. Narva, Garva, Ghurwa, Bari programs are also helping in this. Through Kisan Nyaya Yojana, farmers are being given Rs 2500 per quintal of paddy purchased from them. Under the Forest Rights Act, along with giving individual forest rights pattas to eligible people, collective leases are also being given in forest areas. The Chief Minister said that to strengthen the economic condition of forest dwellers, Tendupatta is being purchased from Tendupatta collectors at the rate of Rs. 4000 per standard bag. Along with providing the right price for the forest produce collected by them, 31 minor forest produce are being purchased.
The Chief Minister said that due to Corona, the country and the world are reeling under economic recession. But Chhattisgarh is unaffected by it. The government has continuously poured money into the pockets of the people by purchasing paddy, purchasing forest produce, cow dung, buying tendu patta, exemption in electricity bill and providing wide employment through MNREGA. This has also given a good momentum to trade-business in the state. He said that there is a lot of potential for development of tourism in Jashpur. The district will also be developed with this vision. He said that the forest department has been instructed to plant fruitful trees in the forests instead of years. This will increase the income of the people living there. Income can be increased through value addition of fruits through food processing unit. He informed that land has been identified for the establishment of food processing unit in all 8 development blocks of Jashpur district.
Food and Culture Minister and in-charge of Jashpur district, Shri Amarjit Bhagat said in his address that the model of development of Chhattisgarh is becoming popular all over the country. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel had decided to waive the loan of the farmers of the state within 2 hours of the formation of his government. Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana has been launched to provide full value for the hard work of farmers. Chhattisgarh is the only state in the country to give such high prices of paddy to farmers. This year despite the shortage of sacks, paddy is being procured in a systematic manner.
Shri Bhagat said that the Reserve Bank of India has also praised the management of economic resources being carried out by Chhattisgarh. He said that during the Corona period, the Chhattisgarh government stood with its people the whole time. During this, three months ration was given free of cost through PDS. About 7 lakh people returned from different cities of the country were taken care of their health and all other needs in about 22 thousand quarantine centers set up across the state. People from other states passing through Chhattisgarh were also provided essential facilities like transport, food, relief camps, which they still remember.
Higher Education Minister Shri Umesh Patel said in the General Assembly that the commencement and inauguration of such a large number of development works in Jashpur is happening for the first time today. With this, the light of development will definitely reach in this district of Vananchal. He said that in the last two years, the government has taken many public welfare decisions. The village has made the lives of the poor and farmers happy. During this period, arrangements have been made to provide social pension amount to the elderly and differently-abled people through their bank accounts. Government English medium schools have also been started across the state so that children of weaker income groups can study in English medium. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, who arrived in Jashpur to address the inauguration, foundation stone and general assembly of various development works, was welcomed in the program by wearing a traditional turban and skull. Wearing a turban on the head, peacock feathers were also dug on it. The Chief Minister was also assigned an arrow command in the program. Food and Culture Minister Shri Amarjeet Bhagat welcomed the Chief Minister by singing two Oraon songs on the stage.
