Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has said that on October 17 before Diwali, along with the third installment of Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, the amount of Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhumiless Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana and Godhan Nyay Yojana will be paid to the farmers. An amount of more than Rs 1800 crore will be paid to farmers, landless agricultural laborers and cow dung vendors. The Chief Minister said that Diwali is a big festival for all of us. We all will celebrate Deepawali with great pomp by getting the amount before Diwali.
Chief Minister Shri Baghel gave this information while transferring an amount of Rs. Out of this amount, a dividend amount of Rs 5.34 crore was distributed to cow dung vendors, villagers, Rs 1.69 crore to Gauthan Samitis and Rs 1.11 crore to women self-help groups. So far, Rs 170.34 crore has been paid for the purchase of cow dung including the amount paid today to the dung vendors.
On this occasion, Home Minister Shri Tamradhwaj Sahu, Agriculture Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey, Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shiv Kumar Dahria, Advisor to Chief Minister Shri Pradeep Sharma, Secretary to Chief Minister Dr. S. Bharathidasan, Special Secretary, Agriculture Department, Dr. Ayyaz F. Tamboli, Mission Director State Rural Livelihood Mission Shri Avneesh Sharan, Director Livestock Smt. Chandan Sanjay Tripathi, Deputy Secretary, Agriculture Department, Ms. Tulika Prajapati were also present.
Paradan appeal to farmers
Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel appealed to the farmers to donate in the program and said that the harvesting of paddy is about to start. Farmers should not burn para, donate paradan for cattle fodder in Gauthans. Due to the arrangement of fodder for the animals, they will not go to the field. This will save their crop along with Kharif crop. The Chief Minister directed the officers of the Agriculture Department to make arrangements for the seeds of their crops, mustard, tivara, linseed etc.
While addressing the Chief Minister’s program, the Chief Minister said that the purchase of paddy would be started from November 1 on the support price from the farmers in the state. Instructions have been given to the officers to make all necessary arrangements at the paddy procurement centers including gunny bags, so that farmers do not face any inconvenience in selling paddy.
Prepare an action plan to start Gauthan in the dependent villages of Gram Panchayats
Shri Baghel said that so far 10 thousand 624 Gauthans have been approved in the state, out of which 8408 Gauthans have been made. Now after the gram panchayats, there is a demand for Gauthan in their dependent villages. An action plan should be prepared to start Gauthan in these villages. The Chief Minister said that when Gothan was formed in the villages for the first time, there was a competition among the women of the Women Self Help Groups to join the Gauthan and conduct livelihood oriented activities there. Women engaged in activities like vegetable production, poultry, fish farming, mushroom production with vermi compost. Now after the inauguration of 300 Rural Industrial Parks on 2nd October, there is a demand from many villages to start Rural Industrial Parks. The Chief Minister said that an action plan should be prepared to start RIPA in such villages. We also have to connect the youth with the Gauthans. Working sheds in these parks in Gauthan, An amount of Rs.2 crore each has been approved for the construction of approach roads and for the provision of electricity and water. The availability of basic facilities in Gauthans will make it easier for the rural youth to start their enterprises here.
Make an action plan to start Rural Industrial Park on the land of Krishi Upaj Mandi
Welcoming the suggestion of the Agriculture Minister to start Rural Industrial Park in the vacant land of Krishi Upaj Mandi, Chief Minister Shri Baghel said that sheds and platforms have been built in the mandis, but they are not being used. Rural industrial parks can be started here. Similarly, if Urban Industrial Parks are started in urban areas and youth are connected with it, then employment opportunities can be created on a large scale. The Chief Minister directed to start Krishi Seva Kendra on the vacant land of the mandi, to start training of women and youth for various income oriented activities in Gauthans. The Chief Minister said that so far 53 thousand 231 liters of cow urine has been purchased in the Gauthans, due to which the women groups have received an income of Rs.
Agriculture Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey said on this occasion that Gauthan, Godhan Nyay Yojana and Rural Industrial Park of villages will become the basic foundation of our rural economy in the coming times. Shri Choubey said that Chhattisgarh is today the state with the lowest unemployment rate in the country due to the schemes of the state government. Throwing light on the Godhan Nyay Yojana, Shri Choubey said that under this scheme, cow dung worth 170 crores has been purchased so far. Under this scheme, an amount of Rs.162 crore 21 lakh has been paid to Gauthan committees and women self-help groups. Along with this, 83 thousand 874 women of 11 thousand 187 women self-help groups engaged in various activities in Gauthans have received an income of Rs 81 crore 84 lakh from various income-oriented works including vermi compost. Advisor to Chief Minister Shri Pradeep Sharma also addressed the program.
