People are very fond of eating the Bastaria being served by them. The demand for Mahua Laddu is so high that our stock has run out. We have Mahua tea in Bastaria Thali along with dishes like Bhaat, Cheela, Aamut, Basta Sabzi, Madia Page, Bobo, Chaur Bhaja, Chapoda Chutney, Tikhoor Barfi.
He told that the demand for Chapda i.e. red ant chutney is high in Bastar area of ​​Chhattisgarh. Tribals believe that eating red ant chutney does not cause diseases like malaria and dengue. The red ant is in great demand in the tribal areas of Chhattisgarh due to its medicinal properties. Chapada is made from the same ants who make their shelter on the sweet fruit tree like mango. Tribals say that they have learned to eat Chapda from their heritage. Chapda lovers buy it a lot in the weekly market held in Bastar.
