Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana, which was started to connect special backward tribes with the mainstream and provide them all basic facilities, is being implemented rapidly in Chhattisgarh. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, 3 thousand 554 houses have been approved for Baiga families under this scheme in Kabirdham district, out of which Rs 11 crore 98 lakh has been released as the first installment for the construction of 2 thousand 996 permanent houses. have been done.
Baiga families predominate in 179 villages of Bodla development block and 77 villages of Pandariya in Kabirdham district. For these families, 2081 houses have been approved in Bodla development block and 1474 houses in Pandariya development block. An amount of Rs 40,000 each has been issued to Baiga families as the first installment for the construction of 2996 houses in the first phase. Apart from this, basic facilities like electricity, water, roads, education, health and other basic facilities will be provided in these villages under the scheme. Due to which the socio-economic conditions of especially backward tribes will improve.
Under the scheme, Mr. Antram Baiga, who built a pucca house in Kabirdham district, was recently honored by presenting him with quince. Mr. Antram Baiga belongs to the special backward Baiga tribe family. He is the first beneficiary who has started the work of constructing permanent houses. He told that ten columns have been erected to build a permanent house.
It is noteworthy that under Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana, an amount of Rs 2 lakh will be given in 4 installments to Baiga families for the construction of houses. The first installment will be Rs 40 thousand for starting the house, the second installment will be Rs 60 thousand if it is at the loaner level, the third installment will be Rs 80 thousand for the construction of the roof top and Rs 20 thousand will be given for the completion of the house. Apart from this, 95 days wages will be paid under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme.
