Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai today announced to start B.Ed. College in Balodabazar and to build a Transport Nagar while inaugurating various development works at Dussehra ground in Balodabazar. He inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan of several development works worth Rs. 60 crore 20 lakh for Balodabazar-Bhatapara district at the programme. Out of these works, Bhoomi Pujan of 16 development works worth Rs. 32 crore 32 lakh and inauguration of 32 development works worth Rs. 27 crore 88 lakh was done. Revenue Minister Shri Tankaram Verma, Industry Minister Shri Lakhanlal Devangan, MP Smt. Kamlesh Jangde and MLA Guru Shri Khuswant Saheb were also present on this occasion.

In the program, the Chief Minister handed over the approval letters of houses to 2100 beneficiaries and the keys of houses to 51 beneficiaries from among the houses approved under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. He gave honor letters to 51 youths under the “Hum Honge Kamyaab Abhiyan” being run in the district. In the program, the farmers expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Sai by presenting Tukni and Parra filled with paddy for purchasing 21 quintals of paddy per acre and Rs 3100 per quintal.

Addressing the program, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Balodabazar is the land of saints, gurus and heroes. People of various religions and faiths live here in harmony. He said that since the creation of this district in 2012 by former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh, this district is progressing on the path of development. In the last 10 months, the state government is continuously fulfilling Modiji’s guarantee in the interest of the state and its people. A new industrial policy has been formulated to promote industries. A single window system has been implemented to simplify the process of various approvals.

The Chief Minister said that under Modi Ji’s guarantee, we have approved 18 lakh Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, out of which 8 lakh 42 thousand houses have been approved by the Central Government. Every month, one thousand rupees are being transferred to the accounts of women under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. 21 quintals of paddy are being purchased per acre for Rs. 3100. This year paddy purchase will start from November 14. Necessary preparations are being made for this so that farmers do not face any problem in selling paddy.

Revenue Minister Shri Tankaram Verma said that since its formation, Balodabazar-Bhatapara district is moving on the path of development. He said that Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai is following the path of Antyodaya of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay and is providing the benefits of schemes to the last person. The double engine government is working at a fast pace in the direction of agriculture, health, education, roads, electricity, water and preservation of folk culture. Former Parliamentary Secretary Dr. Sanam Jangde also addressed the program.

On this occasion, member of Chhattisgarh Women Commission Smt. Laxmi Verma, District President Smt. Suman Yogesh Verma, former MLA Smt. Laxmi Baghel, State Vice President of Bharat Scout Guide Shri Vijay Kesharwani, Collector Shri Deepak Soni, Superintendent of Police Shri Vijay Aggarwal along with local public representatives and a large number of citizens were present.
