  • Police officers honored by the Director General of Police by giving medals and certificates

    03 police officers from the state of Chhattisgarh have been selected for the “Central Home Minister’s Medal for Excellence in Investigation” for the year 2022. The distribution of the Union Home Minister’s medal and certificate was given to the concerned police officers by Mr. Ashok Juneja, Director General of Police, Chhattisgarh, at Police Headquarters Nava Raipur on 22 August 2023.
    According to the information received from the police headquarters, sub-inspector Divya Sharma, in the police station Telibandha area of district Raipur, presented the charge sheet within 04 days after compiling reasonable evidence during the investigation in the case of unnatural act and rape by her stepfather with a 9-year-old girl. As a result of being proved beyond reasonable doubt against the accused by the Hon’ble Court during the trial, the accused has been sentenced to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs.90,000.
    In the incident of forceful rape of a 10-year-old minor girl in District Rajnadgaon Police Station Chilhati area, Inspector Mr. Dinesh Yadav, after making quick arrest of the accused, collecting reasonable evidence and submitting the charge sheet to the accused by the Honorable Court. As a result of being proved beyond doubt, the accused has been sentenced to life imprisonment and fine.
    Mr. Rajendra Kumar Jaiswal, the then Deputy Superintendent of Police, Raipur, present Additional Superintendent of Police, Bilaspur, in the year 2013, on the information of sending money through the bank to the people associated with the terrorist organization SIMI and Indian Mujahideen, after registering the crime, arrested the accused and filed the charge sheet in the Hon’ble Court. After presentation and trial, the accused have been sentenced to 10-10 years rigorous imprisonment and fine by the Hon’ble Court.
    Conveying his best wishes to the police officers who received the medal, the Director General of Police has also expected other police officers to do quality excellent research and punish the accused from the court.
