On March 6, under the chairmanship of Cooperative Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam, the state level review meeting of the Cooperative Department was organized in the auditorium of the District Cooperative Central Bank, Raipur. Minister Dr. Tekam directed the officers present in the meeting to complete the installation of ATMs in co-operative banks and construction of godowns in societies within the prescribed time limit.
In the review meeting, officials said that there are total 325 branches of cooperative banks in the state, in which 145 ATMs are operational. District-wise review of installation of 115 new ATMs found that 42 ATMs have been installed so far. Minister Dr. Tekam instructed the concerned officials to install micro ATMs in remaining 73 ATMs and new 725 cooperative societies by April 30.
It was told in the meeting that there are 2058 primary agricultural credit cooperative societies in Chhattisgarh, out of which micro ATMs were provided in 1333 societies. Under NABARD assistance, 73.53 crore rupees have been supplied to construction agencies by giving approval for construction of 725 godowns under RIDF scheme. District-wise review found that the construction work of 662 godowns has been started. Minister Dr. Tekam instructed all the district sub-registrars in the meeting to complete the construction work of these godowns by June 30, 2023. Officials told in the meeting that 2028 societies have been selected for PACS computerization for the implementation of the computerization scheme at the committee level. Along with this, the documents have been maintained according to the National Database. All joint registrars were asked to conduct training and continuous monitoring on common accounting system. For this, matching should be ensured by March 31, 2023 by recording in all the account sheets of the committees.
In the review of banking expansion in Bastar and Surguja divisions, dissatisfaction was expressed over the status of audit in Koriya and Surajpur districts. Joint registrar Ambikapur division and sub-registrar district Ambikapur were instructed to issue show cause notices on offline registration of women’s committee in Ambikapur. In the meeting, the operation of cooperative sugar factory, crushing and payment of sugarcane purchase amount, construction of warehouse in Pandariya and Ambikapur sugar factory and progress of molasses tank construction from Mandi Board, maize processing unit plant in Kondagaon and the status of ethanol plot under construction in Kawardha were also reviewed. done.
