Directorate of religious trust will be formed separately: Tamradhwaj Sahu
Raipur, 27 February 2021. Legislative Speaker Dr. Charandas Mahanta, who inaugurated the Rajim Maghi Punni Mela, which lasted for 15 days in the beautiful Rajim in the name of Prayagraj of Chhattisgarh, lit a lamp and worshiped in the statue of Lord Rajeevlochan. He said that the culture of Rajim Maghi Punni Fair Chhattisgarh is a symbol of harmony and love. On this occasion, Minister of Religion and Minister in-charge of the district Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu, MLA Mr. Dhanendra Sahu, Rajim MLA Mr. Amitesh Shukla and local saint saints, public representatives and devotees were present.
Assembly Speaker Dr. Mahant said that sweetness is the symbol of love and goodwill in the culture of Chhattisgarh. He congratulated the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel and Minister of Religion for establishing the Rajim Mela as an archaic culture and Punni Mela. Dr. Mahant said that there is mutual love and harmony in the state. He said that today we do not need mutual discrimination and hatred. The Rajim Maghi Punni Mela gives a message of mutual love and harmony.
Minister of Religion and Minister in-charge of the district Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu said that the appearance of the fair had changed earlier which has been reestablished. He said that as soon as our government came, the first bill was brought by Rajim Maghi Punni Mela and according to Gazetteer it was named Punni Mela. He said that there will now be a separate religious trust directorate in the state. In this, the post of Deputy Director will be appointed at the division level. Also, information about all the temple trusts in the state will be collected and included under the religious trust. Work is going on fast in this direction. Congratulated the local administration for selecting 54 acres of permanent land for the Rajim Mela.
Minister Shri Sahu said that Rajim will be connected to the Ram One Gamman circuit. Our culture is the basis of the development of the state. He said that our endeavor is to preserve the archaic culture of the state. In view of the Corona infection, he appealed to the common people and devotees to enjoy the corona by following the guide line at the fair. Minister Shri Sahu has urged to follow protocols like applying mask and washing hands with soap and using sanitizer.
Abhanpur MLA Shri Dhanendra Sahu said that in the beginning time it was organized locally, giving opportunity to about 6 thousand artists. He thanked the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel for the restoration of Rajim Maghi Punni Mela culture. Rajim MLA Shri Amitesh Shukla said that Rajim is a great holy land for centuries, there is a cultural heritage around it. Thousands of people from all around come to visit here and earn virtuous benefits. On this occasion, Shri Ravi Kar Saheb, Narayan Bhai, Hema and Pushpa sister of Brahmakumari Prajapati, Swami Siddheshwar Anand ji Maharaj and local public representative including Collector Shri Nilesh Kshirsagar, Superintendent of Police Bhojram Patel, Senior Officers Gana and Shraddhu Gana were present. Gobra Nawapara president Dhanraj Madhyani, Pushpa Jagannath Sahu, Rekha Sonkar were present on the occasion.
