Now for fisheries also, like agriculture, cheap electricity and loan facility will be available without interest. This will benefit the fish farmers and those who could not do fish farming due to their weak economic condition, they will also be able to raise a means of income by doing fisheries and move forward. More and more people from the fishing community should also come forward to take advantage of these provisions.
The Chief Minister expressed his views to this effect while addressing the joining program of the Vice President and members of Chhattisgarh Fishermen Welfare Board through virtual medium from his office room located in the Vidhan Sabha premises here today.
In the program, Chhattisgarh Fishermen’s Welfare Board’s Vice-Chairman Rajendra Dhimar, members Sarvshree Dinesh Futan, Dev Kunwar Nishad, R.N. There are people from the fishermen community. Since time immemorial, the people of the fishermen community have been doing fish farming and growing vegetables in the gardens for their sustenance. Ponds and dams are given by making committees for fish farming. Many times information is received from the people of the fishermen community that the people of their society have not been able to get the work of fisheries. Or sometimes even when work is available, the people of the community are unable to do fisheries due to their weak economic condition and are forced to go to the shelter of big traders. The people of the fishermen community get only wages in such a situation. Now with the help of agriculture for fish farming, people of fishermen society will also be able to do fish farming easily and they will also get full benefit of this business. The Chief Minister said that there is good potential for fisheries in the state. There is no dearth of rivers, ponds and streams here. It rains well here too.
