Whenever the need arises, the government will stand by them. On the occasion of Armed Forces Flag Day, the Governor saluted all the martyrs of Chhattisgarh including the whole country.

Honored to the families of ex-servicemen and martyred soldiers
Ms. Uike said that ever since our country became independent, the brave soldiers of our army have saved and sacrificed their lives from time to time by putting their lives on the line. In 1948, because of our army, took iron from Pakistan and made them chew gram under their teeth. In the war of 1971, Pakistan was not only defeated but their 93,000 soldiers were imprisoned and Bangladesh a new country came into existence. In Kashmir and Nagaland and other states, even in difficult circumstances, stand day and night for the defense of the country and keep sacrificing your life.
The Governor said that the neighboring country China tried to encroach in the Galvan Valley in the past and turned its eyes towards our country, to which our soldiers responded strongly. They remained stationed there and China had to drag its feet back. Even at the time of Corona, the Indian Army contributed in different ways and saved the lives of the common people.
The Governor said that after becoming the Governor, when I had gone to meet the President and the Prime Minister, they had said that work has to be done for the welfare of the soldiers of the country. For this, Sainik Welfare Board has been established in every state. He said that the soldiers of our country protect the borders of the country and also sacrifice for it. I will do whatever is possible for them and their families.
The Governor said that giving charity has been our culture. Flag Day is one such occasion, which is not limited to charity, but is also service to the nation. He said that we cannot go to the army and do the work like soldiers or sacrifice like their families, but we can discharge our duty by dedicating some funds for the welfare of soldiers on the occasion of flag day.
On this occasion, flags and lapel pins were put up to Governor Ms. Uike and other guests. Along with this, Jangi Inam Samman Nidhi was provided to the parents of the soldiers and assistance was given to the ex-servicemen for daughter marriage.
The Sainik Welfare Board’s souvenir Sainik Kalyan Summarika was also released at the function. NCC An enchanting Desh Bhakti song was presented by the cadets. Additional Chief Secretary Shri Subrata Sahu, General Officer Commanding, Central India Region Lt Gen S. Mohan, Secretary to Governor Shri Amrit Kumar Khalkho, Director of Sainik Welfare Chhattisgarh Brigadier Vivek Sharma and ex-servicemen and their families were present.
