Agriculture Department issued guidelines for arranging procurement

Arhar, urad and moong will be procured from farmers at support price in the Kharif marketing year 2022-23 by the Chhattisgarh government. It will be procured through Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Marketing Federation Markfed. Arhar and Urad will be purchased from farmers at the rate of Rs 6600 and Moong at the rate of Rs 7755 per quintal. Urad and Moong will be procured from 17 October 2022 to 16 December 2022 and Arhar will be procured from 13 March 2023 to 12 May 2023. 25 Krishi Upaj Mandis with godown and storage facilities have been identified as procurement centers for the purchase of tur, moong and urad.
Detailed guidelines have been issued by the Ministry of Agriculture Development and Farmers Welfare and Biotechnology Department to all the Divisional Commissioners, Collectors, Markfed and Mandi Board for procurement of Arhar, Urad and Moong crops at minimum support price in the state. The necessary physical resources, equipment and human resources will be arranged by Markfed at the procurement center. After registering the farmer on the Unified Farmer Portal, the available data will be given to NAFED. The above data will be integrated by NAFED in the E-Samridhi portal for procurement and tagging of the above farmers will be done from the selected procurement centers. On the basis of the above data, payment will be made by purchasing from the farmers. Field verification and random verification of farmers’ land, area sown crop etc. will be done.
Printed receipt will be given to farmers
Along with ensuring the display of the FAQ product for the general information of the farmers in the procurement centers, it will also be ensured that the tur, urad and moong of the FAQ standard are not sold at the procurement center at less than the support price. FAQ Quality procurement will be closely monitored. A state level joint team will be formed with NAFED for random sampling, which will inspect the procurement center from preparation to collection. The printed receipt of the quantity purchased from the farmer in which the due amount is mentioned, will be given to the farmer after signing by the in-charge of the procurement center.
Estimated production 1.76 lakh MT
It is worth mentioning that in the Kharif season 2022, the target of cultivating tur in one lakh 40 thousand hectares, moong in 22 thousand hectares and urad in one lakh 75 thousand hectares is targeted. The agriculture department has estimated the production of 94,500 metric tonnes of tur, 12,100 metric tonnes of moong and 70,000 metric tonnes of urad in the state.
