Raipur: Approval received for final survey and DPR preparation of two new railway line projects in Chhattisgarh

The Railway Ministry has approved Rs 16.75 crore for the final survey and DPR preparation of 2 new railway line projects of 670 km length.

The development of Bastar and Surguja region will gain momentum

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on getting the approval of final survey and DPR preparation of two new railway line projects in Chhattisgarh. The Chief Minister has said that this will further strengthen the railway infrastructure of Chhattisgarh.

It is worth noting that the Railway Ministry has approved the final survey and DPR preparation of two new railway line projects of 670 km length at a total cost of Rs. 16 crore 75 lakh under South East Central Railway in Chhattisgarh.

The Chief Minister has said that out of these two rail line projects, the approval for the survey of the new 490 km rail line from Gadchiroli to Bijapur via Bacheli will increase the pace of inclusive development of Bastar manifold. The Railway Ministry has sanctioned Rs 12 crore 25 lakh for its survey. With this, people of remote areas of Bastar will be directly connected to the city through rail route for higher education, employment, better health and sale of their products. The entire Bastar region will touch higher dimensions of development.

At the same time, the approval of the survey of the new 180 km rail line from Korba to Ambikapur is going to increase the pace of inclusive development of Korba and Surguja manifold. The Railway Ministry has sanctioned Rs 4 crore 50 lakh for its survey.

The Chief Minister has said that the approval of these two surveys will bring revolutionary changes in the field of rail facilities in the state, which will pave the way for unprecedented development in all areas including railways in Bastar and Surguja divisions. Along with this, new employment opportunities will be created for thousands and lakhs of people.
