ICMR released interim report of sero surveillance in three districts of Chhattisgarh, a total of 1513 samples were taken from the three districts
Raipur. 25 September 2020. The interim report of sero surveillance in three districts Raipur, Durg and Rajnandgaon in Chhattisgarh has been released by ICMR. According to the interim report, 3.76 percent of Rajnandgaon, 8.31 percent of the fort and 13.41 percent of Raipur have been found to have antibodies to fight against corona infection. 517 samples of common citizens and high risk groups of Durg district, 504 in Rajnandgaon and 492 in Raipur were compiled during sero surveillance. Of these 1513 samples, 8.5 percent i.e. 128 samples were found to have antibodies.
Detailed report and findings of sero surveillance made by ICMR in ten districts of the state will be released in the next 15 days. Samples for sero survey in 60 clusters of 20 blocks of ten districts have been compiled by ICMR, New Delhi and RMRC, Bhubaneswar in collaboration with National Health Mission under the Department of Health and Family Welfare of the state government. Samples have been taken from both urban and rural areas for surveillance. These include samples of ordinary citizens as well as high-risk individuals working among the crowd.
Of the 492 samples compiled in three clusters of two blocks of Raipur district, 426 were found to be antibody negative and 66 positive. Out of 160 samples taken from Tilda block, 146 have been found to be antibody negative and 14 positive. At the same time, out of 332 samples compiled from Dharsinwa (Raipur) block, 280 were found to be negative and 52 positive. Out of 517 samples taken by ICMR in Durg district, 474 were found to be antibody negative and 43 positive. Out of 305 samples compiled in Durg block, 278 negative and 27 positive and 212 out of 196 samples of Patan block have been found to be negative and 16 positive. Of the 504 samples taken from Rajnandgaon for sero surveillance, 485 reports are negative and 19 positive. Out of 319 compiled from Rajnandgaon block, 304 antibodies were found to be negative and 15 positive and out of 185 samples of Dongargarh block, 181 were negative and four positive.
