Raipur: Allocation of 7,416 kiloliters of kerosene for the month of March under PDS

Instructions have been given by the Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection to supply kerosene under the Public Distribution System (PDS) to ration cards having gas connections in non-scheduled areas. It is worth noting that out of the kerosene allocation received for the fourth quarter of the year 2023 from the Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, New Delhi, 7416 kiloliters of kerosene has been issued under the Chhattisgarh Food and Nutrition Security Act for the fair price shop wise for the month of March 2023 for ration cards and hawkers. Online allotment has been issued. This includes 7367 for PDS and 49 kiloliters of kerosene for hawkers. A letter to this effect has been sent by the Department of Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection to all the collectors and state level coordinators of the oil industry.
In the letter issued by the Food Department, it has been said that all Antyodaya and priority ration cards prevalent under PDS will be eligible. Maximum 2 liters of kerosene will be eligible for ration card holders of urban areas and maximum 3 liters for ration card holders of scheduled areas under rural areas and maximum 2 liters for ration card holders of non-scheduled areas. On the other hand, separate allotment has been issued to hawkers at the rate of 85 litres. Hawkers have been asked to stand in front of designated fair price shops and distribute kerosene to ration card holders.
The district wise kerosene allocation for the month of March is as follows. Allocation of 336 kiloliters of kerosene has been issued for Bastar district. Similarly, 120 kiloliters for Bijapur district, 120 kiloliters for Dantewada district, 300 kiloliters for Kanker district, 252 kiloliters for Kondagaon district, 60 kiloliters for Narayanpur district, 144 kiloliters for Sukma district, 408 kiloliters for Bilaspur district. , 96 KL for Gaurla-Pedra-Marwahi district, 252 KL for Janjgir-Champa district, 240 KL for Korba district, 204 KL for Mungeli district, 252 KL for Raigarh district, 168 KL for Balod district, Bemetara 216 KL for district, 228 KL for Durg district, 240 KL for Kawardha district, 168 KL for Rajnandgaon district, 288 KL for Baloda Bazar Bhatapara district, 192 KL for Dhamtari district, 348 KL for Gariaband district, 348 KL for Mahasamund district for 264 kiloliters,
