Raipur, 07 May 2021. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has said that keeping in view the situation of Corona infection in the state, only 10-10 people are being allowed to participate in marriage and dashagatra programs. All the Collectors and Superintendents of Police should ensure that more than the prescribed number of people do not attend these programs. For this, he has instructed all the District Collectors and Superintendents of Police to keep a strict vigil on these programs in their respective districts. He also instructed to ensure strict observance of Covid appropriate behavior in the programs. He said that in order to ensure compliance of these necessary directions, the officials should meet the heads of the socities within their area, and make it clear that these programs should not involve more than the prescribed number. He asked to ensure strict monitoring in the village through local employees like sarpanch, patwari, teacher, employment assistant and kotwar.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel discussed the situation of Corona infection in a virtual meeting held at his residence office in the capital this evening in a meeting with the officials of the 11 most affected districts, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly and Ministers. Assembly Speaker Dr. Charandas Mahant and Health Minister Shri T.S. Singhdeo, Home Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu, Agriculture Minister Mr. Ravindra Choubey, Forest Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar, School Education Minister Dr. Premasai Singh Tekam, Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shiv Kumar Dahriya, Food Minister Mr. Amarjeet Bhagat, Women and Child Development Minister Mrs. Anila Bhendia, Industries Minister Mr. Kawasi Lakhma, Revenue Minister Mr. Jaisingh Agrawal, Higher Education Minister Mr. Umesh Patel and Public Health Engineering Minister Guru Rudrakumar participated through video conferencing. Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Subrata Sahoo, Principal Secretary Health Dr. Alok Shukla and Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi were present on the occasion.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel directed to keep a strict vigil for checking the people coming from outside the border areas, inter-state borders, mines and factories in the state. He also directed to ensure strict adherence to the Covid protection guidelines. Similarly, he also asked the patients living in home isolation to ensure strict adherence to the rules of Covid-19. He also directed that the person living in home isolation should stay separately in the house and should take special care that he does not interact with the rest of the family. Along with this, he gave necessary instructions to make Corona medicine available immediately to the entire family of the person who is infected with corona.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that vaccination is important to prevent corona. Keeping this in mind, he instructed all collectors to carry out the vaccination work in their respective districts timely. He also asked to motivate more and more people for vaccination. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel also directed for quick distribution of rations for the month of May and June under PDS, so that people do not face any problem during the present lockdown in the state. He said that sanitizers and masks will be provided to all Anganwadi workers in the state for protection from Covid. It will be distributed through the Women and Child Development Department.
On this occasion, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Shri Charandas Mahant said that special emphasis should be given on vaccination work to prevent corona infection. Similarly, Health Minister Mr. Singhdeo emphasized on increasing testing and tracing, Home Minister Mr. Sahu emphasized on ensuring that peace & security is maintained , Agriculture Minister Mr. Choubey and Forest Minister Mr. Akbar said that guidelines of Covid-19 should be followed strictly. In the meeting, School Education Minister Dr. Tekam, Urban Administration Minister Dr. Dahriya, Women and Child Development Minister Mrs. Bhendia and Food Minister Mr. Bhagat asked for increase in necessary resources in the hospitals at the block level and ensuring adherence to the guidelines. During the meeting, Industries Minister Shri Lakhma, Higher Education Minister Shri Patel and Public Health Engineering Minister Guru Rudrakumar also made necessary suggestions
