Government schemes will reach Pundag without hindrance after road construction
In this village of Balrampur Ramanujganj district till now the polling parties used to go by helicopter.

Pundag village is situated at a distance of about 140 kms from the district headquarter Balrampur. The population of the village is about 22 hundred. The connectivity of this village with the district headquarter Balrampur could not be done even after 75 years of independence. But now on the instructions of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, the work of building the road has started, which is like a dream come true of the people here.
Amavas of Pahadi Korba tribe of Pundag village tells that I am about 40 years old. But I have not yet gone to the district headquarter Balrampur. When asked the reason, they say that there was no road from here to Balrampur. The people of our village used to go to Chhattisgarh via Jharkhand for work. Sometimes someone used to fall ill and there was a lot of trouble. They say that our children will be greatly benefited by the construction of the road, they will be able to go out of the village for higher education.
Geographical situation and Naxal problem was a big obstacle
There are dense forests and many ghats to reach Pundag. Due to the difficult terrain, it was not easy to build a road here. Many rocks and rivulets were a big obstacle in the middle of the way. Along with this, this area was highly Naxal affected. Immediately after this village there is Budhapahar area on Jharkhand border which was considered to be a stronghold of Naxalites. Since the formation of the state, there were about 435 Naxal incidents in this area, but if we talk about the last 4 years, there have been only 4 isolated incidents, and there has not been a single loss of life or property. The police have almost driven out the Maoists from this area.
Opened 4 camps to deal with Naxalites
Due to Naxalite incidents in the past, the pace of development works in this area had slowed down a bit. But in the last 4 years, 4 camps have been established here in 24 kms. These camps have been set up at Sabag, Bandarchua, Bhutahi and Pundag. The state government has provided full assistance in opening these camps. Many bores have been made here to provide drinking water to the jawans. The result of the opening of the camp was that the Naxalite incidents here have come down to zero and the development work has started fast in the area.
All facilities to the villagers to connect with development
Balrampur Collector Mr. Vijay Dayaram K. It is said that in order to provide education, health and other schemes in this village, it was most important that the road should be built first. Despite the difficult conditions, the district administration has made about 6 km road from Bandarchua to Bhutahi. Road construction work from Bhutahi to Pundag is going on fast. Along with this, mobile towers and transformers have been installed in Bhutahi. Villagers are using 4G service due to the installation of mobile towers in the area where it was difficult to talk on the phone. Sub health center is also going to start in Pundag village this month. The school building is being renovated.
Ration shop, electricity pole and paddy purchase center soon in Pundag
Due to lack of road, the people of this village settled in the last end used to come till now till Bhutahi to get ration. But after the construction of the road, the district administration will start delivering ration to this village. Due to lack of road, the farmers of this place used to go to Samari paddy purchase center to sell paddy, but now the proposal to open paddy purchase center has also been sent here. Till now the work in Pudang village is done only with solar lights. As soon as the road is built, the work of installing electric poles is going to start here.
Gothan also for strong rural economy
Most of the villagers in Pundag village are farmers and herders. The district administration has started the work of construction of Gothan here. Villagers say that their economic activities will increase with the start of Gauthan. By selling cow dung and cow urine, their economic condition will also improve.
