Raipur 22 October 2021.On the third day of the launch of Shree Dhanwantri Medical Scheme, people kept coming to Shree Dhanwantri Generic Medical Store in search of cheap medicine. It is worth mentioning that with the effort of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, this medical store chain is being operated in 84 areas of 25 districts of the state from October 20 with the aim of providing affordable medicines. Generic medicine is also attracting people from far flung areas due to its cheapness.
Director of Shri Dhanwantri Medical Store, Amlidih, Raipur, Shri Lal Bahadur Patel told that this scheme is getting good response from the people. He told that medical stores are operating in every locality, but people are coming here for cheap medicine by not visiting the medical stores of their areas. Shri Patel told that every person needs some medicine, so people are coming here for generic cheap medicines instead of expensive medicines.
Mr. Ghanshyam Panigrahi, a resident of Shadani Darbar, told that he has come to take medicine for throat infection, he got this medicine here at about one third of the price as compared to other medical stores in the market. Mr. Hitesh Sahu, a resident of Devpuri, who came to Amlidih’s Sri Dhanwantri Medical Store, said that the ORS available for Rs. 20 at other places is Rs. 7, Oflaxin Ornidazole tablet for Rs. 120 for Rs. 55 and Rs. 11. Paracetamol tablet was found for around 4 rupees. Mr. Ankush Jain, 43, resident of New Rajendra Nagar, told that he is a high B.P. And cholesterol medicine became available to them at 40 to 45 percent less price than other branded medicines.
