The Chief Secretary took a meeting of the State Level Coordination Committee

It is proposed to organize a working group meeting of G-20 countries on 18-19 September 2023 in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. In connection with the administrative preparations for coordination of all the arrangements for the meetings, the meeting of the State Level Coordination Committee constituted at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhavan under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Mr. Amitabh Jain was held here today. The Chief Secretary reviewed the work being done for the arrangements for the G-20 meeting with the state level nodal officers appointed for various arrangements. Cleanliness, beautification, traffic and security arrangements of important roads of the capital before the G-20 meeting. A comprehensive discussion was held regarding the necessary arrangements for the foreign delegates coming to the G-20 meeting and necessary instructions have been given to the officers. The Chief Secretary has instructed the officers that arrangements should be made through hoardings to display historical and tourism important places of Chhattisgarh from airport to Hotel Mayfair, the proposed venue for the meeting.
The Chief Secretary has also directed the state nodal officers to coordinate with the nodal officers appointed by the Government of India for the G-20 meetings. He has asked the nodal officers to ensure preparations for all the arrangements from now itself. The Chief Secretary instructed the officers to impart training to various officers related to security and traffic system. Similarly, instructions were given to the officials of the Urban Administration Department to display culture and diversity, to make necessary preparations for artistic painting and beautification work on the walls along the roads. Instructions were given to the concerned officials to prepare G-20 themed crafts fair, dance and music, promotion videos of tourist places and to make necessary preparations for coordination for the G-20 meeting.
In the meeting, infrastructure related work, cleanliness, decoration, arrangement for necessary facilities in hotels for stay, traffic arrangement, security arrangement, publicity, arrangement of cultural programs, gift arrangement, tourism for G-20 meetings. Instructions have been given to the officers to ensure necessary action for visit arrangements and citizen participation. The Chief Secretary has instructed the officials to prepare a list of the citizens of Chhattisgarh residing in the countries participating in the G-20 meeting held in Raipur. Information about language and other experiences should be obtained from such migrants from now itself. In the meeting, NRDA, urban administration, police, Officials of other departments including District Administration Raipur gave information regarding the preparations for the arrangements being made during the G-20 meeting through presentation. The Chief Secretary has given instructions to the officers that necessary arrangements should be made at important sightseeing places including Purkhauti Muktangan, Jungle Safari in Nava Raipur, Sirpur, Champaran, Kaushilya Mata Mandir etc. So that foreign delegates can be observed as per the requirement.

Bharatidasan, Secretary, Urban Administration Department Dr. Ayaz Tamboli, IG Raipur Range Mr. Ajay Yadav, Director Culture and Archeology Mr. Vivek Acharya, Collector Raipur Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure and officers of various departments participated.
