Raipur, 3 November 2020. Adequate arrangements have been made by the state government to ensure availability of seeds and fertilizers to the farmers during the Rabi season. So far, against the storage of 48047 quintal seeds of various varieties of cereals and pulses, 8949 quintal seeds and 3 lakh 21 thousand 193 tons fertilizers have been lifted by farmers against 38821 metric tonnes of fertilizer storage.
According to the Agriculture Department, against 4 lakh 20 thousand hectares of grain crops in the state, 3020 hectares have been sown. The area sown has been sown in 130410 hectares against the proposed area of 894000 hectares and against the proposed area of oilseeds crops 281000 hectares in 19300 hectares.
