Forest department team took action during night patrolling in Forest Division Korea

On the instructions of Forest and Climate Change Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar, continuous action is being taken by the Forest Department on illegal transportation and felling of wood. Action was taken to confiscate 11 pieces of teak wooden log and a pick-up vehicle, estimated to cost around 69 thousand, being illegally transported by the team of Korea Forest Board.
On the instructions of PCCF Mr. Srinivasa Rao and Forest Officer Korea Ms. Prabhakar Khalkho, during the night patrolling, the joint team of Forest Department found 11 teak logs and pickups worth about Rs. Vehicle seized. During the proceedings, the Forest Department team seized illegal 11 pieces of teak wood loaded in pickup number – CG 15 ZB 0129 by illegal felling in teak plantation. Forest department officials said that further action is being taken in the matter.
