Divyang wood craftsman of Bemetara district, Mr. Dilharan Sinha and his wife Mrs. Kalindri Sinha had a courtesy call on Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel at his residence office here today. On this occasion, he presented an artwork of Chhattisgarh’s Raj song made by hand engraved on wood to the Chief Minister. In this the signature of Dr. Narendra Dev Varma, the author of the song, has also been engraved. Appreciating his art-skills, Chief Minister Shri Baghel approved an amount of one lakh rupees from his voluntary donation to further the work of wood craft.
Wood craftsman Shri Sinha told the Chief Minister that he is handicapped and wood craft is his only means of livelihood. He told that he has carved the national anthem of India, the national anthem and the preamble of the constitution on the wood. Mr. Sinha told that his wife Mrs. Kalindri helps him in making crafts. He also expressed his desire to give training to the younger generation and other handicapped people to spread this art with the help of the government in front of the Chief Minister, so that they can also be associated with wood crafts and help them in mobilizing the means of employment for themselves and they can become financially successful.
