Chief Minister inaugurated various development works under District Cooperative Central Bank Durg

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel virtually inaugurated 11 ATMs and godowns including branch building Ahiwara under District Cooperative Central Bank Maryadit Durg in a program organized at his residence office today. A total of Rs 2 crore 21 lakh 68 thousand development works were inaugurated in the programme. Today, 11 ATMs were inaugurated, in which ATMs have been installed in villages Anda, Borsi, Ahiwara, Armarikala, Arjunda, Karhibhadar, Dondilohara, Belaudi, Kurdi, Bhanthagaon-R and Jewra.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that Chhattisgarh is now witnessing radical changes in rural economy including farmers. We have continuously worked to strengthen cooperatives in the state. By removing the difficulties in the field of cooperatives, it has tried to provide maximum benefits to the farmers and villagers. This is the reason why during the last four years, there has been a big change in the lives of the farmers and villagers of Chhattisgarh through cooperatives.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel further said that continuous work is being done in Chhattisgarh to financially strengthen the farmers including the rural economy. In these, the facility of agriculture loan is being provided at zero percent interest rate. Apart from this, we have instilled new strength in the farmers in the state by waiving off their loans and waiving off irrigation taxes. Along with this, the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana is being run to provide the right price to the farmers for their produce. Through this incentive amount is given in four installments. Farmers getting input subsidy at the right time has made it easier for them in farming. Increasing the limit of paddy purchase, the state government has now decided to purchase 20 quintals of paddy per acre.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel told that earlier there were 1333 service cooperative societies in the state, today there are 2058 cooperative societies. 725 new co-operative societies have been formed by the government so that farmers can get loans, fertilizers and seeds near their villages and to increase the facility of selling paddy. New paddy purchase centers have been opened in the entire state so that farmers can sell paddy near their villages. Presently 2617 paddy purchase centers are operational in the state. Similarly, the branches of the District Cooperative Central Bank have increased from 272 to 325 and the number of their ATMs has increased from 29 to 148 in the state. Because of this, the work of paddy procurement was conducted smoothly in the state. There was no problem in the sale of paddy to the farmers. Along with this, the enthusiasm of the farmers increased and they are doing farming with new energy.
Addressing the program, Chairman of Apex Bank Mr. Baijnath Chandrakar said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Baghel, our government is doing remarkable work in the field of expansion of cooperatives along with promotion of agriculture sector in the state. Due to this, farmers have got good facilities in transactions and farming work. Every possible initiative is being taken to help the farmers through cooperatives in the state. He informed that the work being done in the field of cooperative expansion in Chhattisgarh is being appreciated in other states as well. The program was also addressed by Mr. Rajendra Sahu, President of District Cooperative Central Bank, Durg. Managing Director Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Bank Shri K.N. Departmental officers including Kande were present.
