Storage of 14.05 lakh metric tonnes of fertilizer in cooperative and private sectors
So far 10.28 lakh metric tonnes have been distributed

Distribution of various types of chemical fertilizers to farmers is going on in the state for the current Kharif season. As of 22 July 2024, more than 10 lakh 28 thousand metric tonnes of fertilizer has been distributed to the farmers, which is 75 percent of the target. The fertilizer distributed includes distribution of 4 lakh 59 thousand 488 metric tonnes of urea, 2 lakh 70 thousand 735 metric tonnes of DAP, one lakh 25 thousand metric tonnes of NPK, 35 thousand 16 metric tonnes of potash and one lakh 28 thousand 500 metric tonnes of super phosphate.
For the current Kharif season, a target of distribution of 13 lakh 68 thousand metric tonnes of fertilizer to farmers through cooperative and private sector has been set in the state, against which 14 lakh 0.5 thousand metric tonnes have been stored so far. Against the storage, 10.28 lakh metric tonnes of fertilizer has been distributed. Fertilizer is being distributed to farmers easily by societies and private vendors. Farmers are not facing any kind of problem. Senior officials are keeping a strict vigil on the distribution of fertilizer and seeds.
