The work of renewal of all 77 lakh ration cards currently prevalent under the public distribution system in Chhattisgarh is going on from January 25. As of February 17, 61 lakh 28 thousand 959 ration card holders have submitted applications for renewal. People are taking full advantage of the online facility provided by the Food Department for renewal of ration cards and are submitting applications for renewal of ration cards through the Food Department’s app from their mobiles.
It is noteworthy that the work of ration card renewal is being done till 25 February 2024. According to the information received from the department, a new mobile app of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department has been prepared by the Food Department for ration. card renewal, it can be downloaded by going to the Play Store. For those beneficiaries who do not have Android mobile or where there is no mobile connectivity, the facility of submitting electronic application for renewal of ration cards through online process at the fair price shop level is also being provided.
