Pahadi Korva families get timely ration every month from the fair price shop near their village

Antyodaya ration card is being made by the district administration on priority for the special backward tribe Pahari Korva families of Jashpur district. So far ration cards have been made to about 4387 families.
Pahadi Korwa families of remote areas are being provided ration on time every month in fair price shops near them. Along with this, according to the list received from the Social Welfare Department, disabled and Antyodaya ration cards have been issued by the Food Department to the disabled people living in different villages of the district as per their eligibility.
According to the information received from the Food Department, separate ration cards are being issued to the differently-abled people whose names are not included in the ration cards of their families. Antyodaya ration card is being issued to such priority ration card holders whose head is physically handicapped. At present, 100 percent ration cards have been issued to general ration cards and priority ration cards and Divyangjans in the district.
Officials of the Food Department said that under the public distribution system, 10 kg rice per month to 1 member priority ration card holder, 20 kg per month to 2 member priority ration card holder, 35 kg per month to 3 to 5 member ration card holder and 5 Priority ration card holders with more than 100 members are being given ration per month at the rate of 7 kg per member. Similarly, Antyodaya ration card holders are being given 35 kg rice per month. Along with this, 1 kg sugar is also being given at a cheap price of only Rs.17. In scheduled areas, 2 kg iodized salt per family and 1 kg iodized salt in non-scheduled areas is being given free of cost. At the same time, 2 kg gram is also being distributed to the beneficiaries of Scheduled Development Block and Mada area at the rate of only Rs 5 per kg per month.
Officials told that 10 kg free rice per month per ration card is being given to single destitute and disabled ration card holders. Similarly, 10 kg rice is being given to one member APL ration card holder at Rs 10 per kg, 20 kg rice to 2 members and 35 rice per month to 3 or more members general ration card holders at the rate of Rs 10 per kg.
