Raipur, 08 July 2020. Considering the situation arising out of corona infection and lockdown, the process of providing free food and food packets to the poor, workers and destitute people in the state of Chhattisgarh continues. On July 8, 32 thousand 650 needy, laborers and destitute were provided free food and food packets in quarantine centers and relief camps in the districts to help the needy people of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel. To prevent the spread of corona infection by the district administration and voluntary organizations, masks, sanitizers and other useful materials are also being distributed to the needy people. Today, 1473 masks, sanitizers and soap etc. were distributed with the help of administration and voluntary organizations.
It is noteworthy that since the start of the lockdown till now, one crore 9 lakh 64 thousand 13 people have been provided free food and food packets in Chhattisgarh state through relief camps operated by the administration in the districts with the help of social organizations. So far, 49 lakh 96 thousand 850 masks, sanitizers and other materials have been distributed free of cost to the public for the prevention of corona infection in collaboration with voluntary organizations.
