Two lakh 45 thousand new farmers registered in comparison to last year

103 new centers will be opened in the state for paddy purchase at support price

Raipur, 20 November 2020. Due to the farmer-friendly policies of the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, the farmers’ attitude towards farming and farming has increased in the state. Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyaya Yojana has done the work of Sanjeevani to promote farming. This is the reason that the number of registered farmers in the state has now increased from 19 lakh to 21 lakh 47 thousand. This number includes 2 lakh 45 thousand new farmers, who have registered to sell paddy this year. Food Minister Amarjeet Bhagat has said that farmers can easily sell paddy in centers close to their village. For this, the state government has approved opening of 103 new paddy buying centers. He told that with the opening of these new paddy procurement centers, farmers will be comfortable and they will not have to go far to sell their produce. Preparations are being made to start paddy procurement in the new paddy procurement centers from December 1.

According to the order issued by the Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection for permission to open new paddy procurement centers from the Ministry, it has been approved to open new paddy procurement centers at village Nilja, Paragaon and village Deori-Parsakol in Raipur district of the state. Similarly the villages of Rajnandgaon district are Karregaon, Kodekasa, Gatapar, Rangkatera, Charbhatha and Bhojtola. Village Kachandur and Nandini Khudni of Durg district. Village Pahputra, Rampur, Patewa and Kharagwan in Surguja district. Village Sumedha, Dadarkhurd, Labed, Nondira, Nirdhi, Karainara in Korba district. Village Badekalua, Taragawan, Kuwarpur, Ramgarh, Banji, Kauri Marg in Koriya district. Village Tendurmuda, Taraigaon of Gorella-Pendra-Marwahi. Village Ramanujanagar, Sirsi in Surajpur district. Village Bhoramal, Bhendri, Parsa of Balrampur-Ramanujganj. Village Aasta, Jamjhor, Ganjadih, Goria of Jashpur district. Village Lyndhra, Bijkot, Raigad district Podchail. Village Tana, Ranigaon, Junwani, Kowathal in Bilaspur district. The villages of Janjgir-Champa district are Jamgahan, Salli, Konargarh, Amalipali, Bhadesar, Jamdi, Rokda. Gram Panchayat Temri, Badhagaon, Bamhani, Sirko, Ghonchapali, Badhagaon, Kishanpur in Mahasamund district. Village Shyamnagar, Gujara, Khoksara in Gariaband district.
