On the third day today, 11 candidates filed 16 nomination papers for 20 assembly constituencies of the first phase of assembly general elections in Chhattisgarh. Thus, till now a total of 17 candidates have filed 23 nomination papers for the first phase.

nomination papers were filed in Kawardha assembly constituency, 3 in Mohla-Manpur, 2 in Dongargarh and one each in Khairagarh, Antagarh, Kanker, Keshkal, Jagdalpur and Bijapur.
In the first phase, the process of nomination is going on in 12 constituencies of Bastar division including 8 assembly constituencies of Rajnandgaon, Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki, Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai and Kabirdham districts.
It is noteworthy that nomination papers can be filed till October 20 for the 20 seats of the first phase of elections being held in two phases in the state. Nomination papers will be scrutinized on October 21 and candidates will be able to withdraw their names till October 23. Voting for the first phase will take place on November 7, while counting of votes for both the phases will take place on December 3.

voting will be held for Konta, Bijapur, Dantewada, Chitrakote, Jagdalpur, Bastar, Narayanpur, Kondagaon, Keshkal, Kanker, Bhanupratapur, Antagarh, Mohla-Manpur, Khujji, Dongargaon, Rajnandgaon, Dongargarh, Khairagarh, Kawardha and Pandariya assembly constituencies. .
