Raipur, 12 December 2020. The Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated the newly constructed Swami Atmanand English Medium School at Godaripara in Chirmiri this afternoon. On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that one hundred new English medium schools will be started in the next one year for the education of children from remote areas of the state. Mr. Baghel said that it is the priority of the government to realize the dreams of the children of poor families to study and progress in good schools in English medium. On the demand of the people’s representatives, the Chief Minister also asked for a proposal to open a new medical college for medical education in Chirmiri and send it to the Central Government.
Mr. Baghel also visited the grand building of the Swami Atmanand English Medium School built at Godaripara in Chirmiri and saw the natural beauty of Chirmiri’s hills and valleys along with other public representatives from the roof of the school. The Chief Minister also met newly appointed teachers and children of the school. Minister in charge of the district Dr. Shiv Dahria, School Education Minister Dr. Premasai Tekam, Higher Education Minister Mr. Umesh Patel, Food Minister Mr. Amarjit Bhagat, Parliamentary Secretary and MLA Baikunthpur, Mrs. Ambika Singhdev, MLA Manendragarh Dr. Vinay Jaiswal, Sarguja Vice President and MLA of Development Authority Bharatpur-Sonhat Mr. Gulab Kamro, Mayor of Municipal Corporation Chirmiri, Mrs. Kanchan Jaiswal and many public representatives were also present.
V shell over cum … and Arpa Parry’s Dhar … The chief minister was seen singing along with the children to the tunes of the songs – At the English Medium School in Chirmiri, the children chanted the English version of the song “We will be successful”. Mr. Baghel welcomed. Another group of students made a musical performance of the state song Arpa Pari Ke Dhar… to the Chief Minister. The rhythm and melody of both the songs also forced the Chief Minister to tap his hands. During both the songs, Mr. Baghel was mesmerized by his hands giving rhythm to the children’s notes and enjoying the songs. After this, he also heard the mock debate in English language between two schoolgirls. Seeing the talent and self-confidence of the children, the Chief Minister expressed happiness and himself sat among the children. He called the photographer himself and took photographs with the children. The Chief Minister got acquainted with the children and taught them to study diligently and become good citizens. Mr. Baghel also praised the teachers of the school and asked them to teach children as well as give good values.
Chirmiri school can develop on the lines of schools in Mussoorie and Doon – Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said after observing the buildings and premises of Swami Atmanand English Medium School that this school could develop like the schools of Mussoorie and Dehradun. Chirmiri’s ambo air and natural beauty are very favorable for this. By increasing the facilities on campus, we can develop it like a good mountain school. This statement of the Chief Minister has filled the mind of local administrative officials and public representatives to plan a new plan for the development of the school. The Chief Minister said that the government has started 52 such schools in the entire state to provide better education to children of poor families in good environment. The naming of these schools in the name of Swami Atmanand, who advocates the great education of Chhattisgarh and the idea of basic education of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, gives them a different identity. The Chief Minister said that today, two to three times applications are being received from the approved seats for admission in these schools. There is great competition for admission of students in schools. Everyone wants to teach their children in these schools. He said that in view of this, the government has also planned to open one hundred new schools in the next one year. The government will implement an action plan next year to open one such well equipped English medium school in every development block.
The lack of money will not come in the way of development of Korea – Chief Minister Mr. Baghel reiterated his resolve for the overall development of the entire state including Korea during the meeting with the local representatives. During the discussion, he said that lack of money will never come in the way of development of entire Korea district including Chirmiri, Manendragarh, Baikunthpur. Development works will be done according to the demand and needs of the people. On the demand of public representatives, the Chief Minister also said to make a plan to develop Chirmiri as a hill station from the point of view of tourism. He also agreed to prepare a detailed action plan for repairing the roads of the district under the state government and construction of new roads.
The grand school of Chirmiri is built at a cost of Rs 55 lakhs – This English-medium school in the Municipal Corporation Chirmiri of the district has been built at a cost of Rs 4 crore 55 lakhs from the DMF item. This well-equipped school has 1 principal room, 1 staff room, 12 teaching rooms, 1 hall, 1 hall with kitchen for mid-day meal, separate lab, library, computer, 7 child toilets, 7 girl toilets, 7 child urinals, 7 Girl Urinal, 1 Divya Toilet, 4 Staff Toilet, 6 Staff Urinal, Drinking Water
For arrangement, running water, playground and compound of about 5 acres of campus, 50 seater all equipped hostel including Superintendent Room, Guest Room. Here the process of contractual recruitment for teaching and non-teaching posts has been completed. Educational activities are being conducted through the online class by the posted teachers. There is a proper arrangement for studying in English medium from class 1 to 12. A total of 375 children have taken admission in English medium school of Chirmiri for regular studies this year.
The schools are being operated in two places, Mahalpara and Chirmiri in Korea district. Here better infrastructure and arrangements have been made from private schools. Which includes furniture, laboratory, library, computer lab, smart class etc. There is a plan to start such schools in the state’s urban bodies and each development block headquarters in the coming days.
