The Government of Chhattisgarh wants that the children of Chhattisgarh can participate in world level competitions and achieve success. Permanent measures have been taken by the state government to improve the education sector. Direct recruitment of teachers was started for the first time after the formation of the state. Under which advertisement was issued for direct recruitment on 14 thousand 580 posts in the first phase. Out of these, 10 thousand 834 candidates have been given appointment. At present, the process of direct recruitment for the posts of 12 thousand 489 lecturers, teachers and assistant teachers is going on for Bastar and Surguja divisions. On August 12, 2023, appointment letters were provided to 232 candidates at the Chief Minister’s residence by Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel. Similarly, out of 5 thousand 772 posts of teachers advertised, appointment letters are being issued to the candidates for 3 thousand 449 posts. Out of these, 2 thousand candidates were given appointment in the Rajiv Yuva Mitan Sammelan organized on 02 September. Swami Atmanand Excellent School Scheme has brought a new revolution in the field of school education. In the last year 2020-21, this scheme was started from 51 schools, which has now increased to 727 schools. Out of these 351 schools are of Hindi medium and in 376 schools education is being given in English medium. The process of setting up an international level boarding school in Nava Raipur has also been started. The need for national level academic and administrative training was being felt in the state for a long time, so that teachers could take advantage of the ongoing research and training in the field of education at the national level. Keeping all these things in mind, the state government has made a provision of Rs 1 crore in the budget for the National Teacher Training Institute in Nava Raipur for the upcoming academic session. For the purpose of encouraging teachers and certifying their efficiency, teachers are given Governor’s Award and Chief Minister’s Gaurav Alankaran Award. Dr. Padumlal Punnalal Bakshi Memorial Award, Dr. Mukutdhar Pandey Memorial Award, Dr. Baldev Prasad Mishra Memorial Award, Shri Gajanand Madhav Muktibodh to four teachers in the name of 4 great literary personalities of the state at the state level teacher honor ceremony on the occasion of Teacher’s Day.
