Raipur, 20 August 2020. Even today in Chhattisgarh, the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister of India, Bharat Ratna and dreamer of 21st century modern India, late Shri Rajiv Gandhi, was celebrated as Sadbhavana Day. Cabinet members including Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel and Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Dr. Charandas Mahanta took the oath of Sadbhavana Day at a function held at the Chief Minister’s residence. Earlier, he laid a wreath on the oil painting of the late Shri Rajiv Gandhi and paid him a humble tribute.
On this occasion, Home Minister Shri Tamradhwaj Sahu, Agriculture Minister Shri Ravindra Chaubey, Health Minister Shri T.S. Singhdev, Urban Administration Minister Mr. Shiv Kumar Dahria, Industry Minister Mr. Kavasi Lakhma, Women and Child Development Minister Mrs. Anila Bhendia, Public Health Engineering Minister Guru Rudra Kumar, Higher Education Minister Mr. Umesh Patel, School Education Minister Dr. Premasay Singh Tekam, Revenue Minister Shri Jaisingh Agrawal was present.
Cabinet members, including the Chief Minister and the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, took an oath that they would work for emotional unity and goodwill among all citizens of the country, irrespective of caste, creed, region, religion or language. We will resolve all differences through dialogue and constitutional means without resorting to violence.
