Kawardha. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate the new Kendriya Vidyalaya building located in Maharajpur in Kabirdham district of Chhattisgarh on 20th February. Chhattisgarh’s Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Vijay Sharma and MP Santosh Pandey have been specially invited to this inauguration ceremony. The cost of other construction works including Kendriya Vidyalaya building and employee residential building has been reported to be Rs 20.56 crore.
Collector Janmejay Mahobe took stock of the preparations for the inauguration of the Kendriya Vidyalaya building. Collector Mahobe and District Panchayat CEO Sandeep Aggarwal inspected the new Kendriya Vidyalaya building. He said that due to the tireless efforts of the state Home Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma and MP Santosh Pandey, the construction work of a new joint campus of Kendriya Vidyalaya in Kabirdham district has been completed. Principal Sushil Kumar said that the foundation stone of the construction work of Kendriya Vidyalaya building has been completed. It was laid in the year 2017. At present Kendriya Vidyalaya is running till class 11th. In which 486 students are studying. These studied students include 248 boys and 238 girls. All the classrooms in the new Kendriya Vidyalaya building have been built in a high standard manner. Adequate space has been prepared in the campus for cultural programs including sports and music. Kendriya Vidyalaya is currently operating in the outdoor stadium complex.
