The state government has given administrative approval and permission to invite tenders for a total of 27 crore 23 lakhs, including the proportional state share of 5 crore 73 lakhs out of the central share of 8 crore 60 lakhs released for bus depot civil infrastructure and the central share of 12 crore 90 lakhs for BTM power infrastructure to the designatedIn this regard, the State Urban Development Agency CG has issued an order. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai and guidance of Deputy Chief Minister Urban Administration and Development Department Arun Saw, the capital city of Raipur is going to get the wonderful gift of starting the operation of 100 electric buses soon. For this, a charging system will be installed in the Amanaka bus depot. Electrical work is continuously in progress in the depot. With the early implementation of the Prime Minister’s e-bus scheme, air pollution in the capital city of Raipur will be reduced and people will get its benefit. The next necessary action will be completed in compliance with the rules of the District Urban Public Service Society and other related rules. The approved amount will be used for the construction work of bus depot civil infrastructure and BTM power infrastructure. Any other kind of payment will be prohibited. Action will be taken by following the provisions of the work department manual and the guidelines issued by the department from time to time. In case of expenditure exceeding the approved amount, the society will have to bear the expenditure of the additional amount itself.

Collector has said that it should be ensured that the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, under the Pradhan Mantri E-Bus Seva Yojana are followed. It will be mandatory to follow the instructions issued from time to time by the State Government and the Nodal Agency SUDA. Before starting the work, technical approval and other necessary permissions, no objection should be obtained from the competent authority, so that the work can be completed within the stipulated time frame. The construction work should be done as per the DPR map and layout approved by the competent authority. Under the scheme, provision of rain water harvesting and use of efficient energy equipment should be ensured.
