The opposition brought an adjournment motion on the issue of paddy procurement, on which the acceptance was also discussed in the House.
Former CM attacks the government
On the adjournment motion, former CM Bhupesh Baghel said that the previous government had increased the number of societies so that farmers do not have to go far. We made arrangements for this. A lot of improvements had happened. There was a need to take it forward but this government did not do a single thing. On the contrary, they are harming the societies. There is paddy lying in the centers, there will be a problem of drying. There is more paddy lying in the centers than the limit. Millers are also in loss. The president of the Miller Association is crying and saying that the Congress government was better than this. We will raise the voice of farmers and millers strongly.
The government is not fulfilling Modi’s guarantee: Leader of Opposition Mahant
Leader of Opposition Dr. Charan Das Mahant also surrounded the government and said that the government has created mismanagement in paddy procurement centers. Due to which farmers, millers and even porters are troubled. The government is not fulfilling Modi’s guarantee. 21 quintals of paddy is not being purchased at the centers for Rs 3100. When Modi’s guarantee is not being fulfilled, then they do not have the right to say proudly that they have fulfilled Modi’s guarantee. The government’s intentions regarding paddy procurement are not right.
