Politics heated up within the Congress over riots, State Congress reversed the decision to expel 10 people including State Vice President of Youth Congress Tukaram Chandravanshi.

 RAIPUR. 29 November 2023. Politics has heated up within the Congress over the decision to expel 10 people including State Vice President of Youth Congress Tukaram Chandravanshi. The people against whom action has been taken include the State Union Vice President, the District Vice President and the General Secretary. Whereas two leaders are members of AICC. This decision of Kawardha District President was overturned by the State Congress Committee on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, November 28, Kawardha District Congress Committee had issued an order to expel ten workers, including State Vice President of Youth Congress Tukaram Chandravanshi, from the party for 6 years. But the very next day i.e. on Wednesday the matter of expelling the leaders gained momentum. State Congress Committee has sought clarification from District President Horiram Sahu on this issue. An order has been issued to immediately cancel the expulsion of all the workers.

Allegation of working against Pandariya candidate
A complaint was lodged against all the expelled workers for working against Pandariya Assembly Congress candidate Neelkanth Chandravanshi and doing anti-party work. On the basis of the complaint received, District Congress Committee President Horiram Sahu took action and expelled all the 10 workers for 6 years.

After the expulsion, UNC leader Tukaram Chandravanshi and others started contacting big leaders of PCC. He accused District President Horiram Sahu of camping. He says that he has worked for the party with complete devotion in the elections. The District President neither gave him notice nor called him and talked to him. Direct eviction action has been taken.

Action taken without the knowledge of PCC
The State Congress Committee has sought a reply from the District President regarding the reasons for expulsion within 24 hours. Kawardha District President Sahu had issued the order to State Congress Committee President Deepak Baij without informing him. In the reply, Kawardha District President has also been asked why this action was taken without bringing the PCC to the notice.

He is a leader with good influence at the district level.
The 10 people against whom the Kawardha District President has taken action are considered to have a good influence in the Kawardha area. Tukaram Chandravanshi is the State Youth Congress Vice President while Khelu Ram Sahu is the Vice President of District Congress Committee Kawardha. Rajendra Markande is the District Congress Committee General Secretary, while Palan Bounce and Ashok Vaishnav are All India National Congress members. Mo, Idreesh Khan, Chandrabhan Singh, Jagtaran Singh, Ravikant Bains, Thakur Ram Verma are the workers.
