Raipur. The presence of Dr. Kumar Vishwas, who is counted among the leading poets of the country, breathes life into the poetry conferences. Because of his poems, he has gained a considerable number of fans not only in the country but also abroad. The people of Chhattisgarh are also impressed by his talent, as a result of which he will once again add glory to the ‘Desi Talk Kavi Sammelan’ being organized by NEWS 24 MP-CG and Lalluram.com. Kumar Vishwas was born on February 10, 1970 in North India. He was born in a middle class family in Pilkhua, Ghaziabad of the state. His father Dr. Chandrapal Sharma was a lecturer in RSS Degree College Pilkhua. His mother Rama Sharma is a housewife. He is the youngest among four brothers and one sister. Kumar Vishwas’s wife’s name is Manju Sharma. With whom he has two daughters, Kuhu and Agrata.

Kumar Vishwas received his primary education from Lala Ganga Sahay Vidyalaya, Pilkhua. After passing 12th from Rajputana Regiment Inter College, his father wanted him to become an engineer. But Kumar Vishwas left his studies midway. With the intention of moving forward in the field of literature, he completed his graduation and then post-graduation in Hindi literature and obtained his PhD on the subject of ‘Public consciousness in Kauravi folk songs’. His research work was also awarded in 2001. Kumar Vishwas is considered a poet of Shringaar Rasa. The poetry collection ‘Koi Deewana Kehta Hai’ written by him was very popular among the youth. Paying tribute to the great poets who came before him, he also made a TV program called ‘Tarpan’, in which Vishwas himself has given voice to the poems of the old poets.

Apart from being published regularly in various magazines, two books of Kumar Vishwas have been published – ‘Ik Pagli Ladki Ke Bin’ (1996) and ‘Koi Deewana Kehta Hai’ (2007 and 2010 in two editions). Noted writer late Dharamveer Bharti has called Dr. Vishwas the most promising poet of this generation. Whereas Hindi lyricist ‘Neeraj’ has called him ‘Nisha-Niyamak’.
