Khairagarh. Municipal Corporation President Shailendra Verma’s troubles are showing no sign of abating. After no actual action has been taken till now in the matter of resignation, now former Municipal Corporation Vice President Ramadhar Rajak has submitted a memorandum to the Collector along with Urban Administration Minister Arun Sav, Secretary and Director of the Urban Administration Department, taking immediate action and dismissing them from the post in the case of financial irregularities. Has demanded.
In the complaint made to the Ministry including the Minister and the Collector, a demand has been made to register a criminal case against the Chairman along with the then Municipality CMO. Former Municipal Corporation Vice President Ramadhar Rajak said that during the tenure of Municipal President Shailendra Verma and the then CMO, irregularities worth lakhs of rupees were done in collusion. Citing the information received under the Right to Information Act, he said that in the period from June 23 to December 31, 2013, Municipal Corporation Chairman, Councilor, 14th Finance, 15th Finance, State Changed, Municipality, Didi Uttra Bank, Repair Maintenance, Lakhs of rupees have been paid by showing that materials were purchased from items other than flood relief items.
Rajak said in the complaint that it is clearly mentioned in the documents provided by the municipality that as per the certificate, an amount of Rs 17 lakh 64 thousand was paid on 25 July 23 through check to State Bank and on the same date, Rs 20 lakh 9 thousand was paid through check to Councilor Chairman. The fund has been used to purchase gym equipment. During this period, the Municipality has neither invited quotations nor followed the rules of any kind of tender system without following the purchasing rules. By ignoring formal proceedings, fake payments have been made only to commit corruption on paper.
It has been said in the complaint letter that the Chairman and the then CMO, in collusion with each other, committed corruption of a huge amount of Rs 37 lakh 73 thousand without purchasing any material. The biggest information that has come to light in the matter is that during this purchase and corruption, no bill voucher and file related to it is available in the municipality. For this, the then CMO has been held mainly responsible and it has been said that the check for the amount paid in this corruption has been issued by the Chairman and CMO, whereas no gym equipment has been purchased by the Municipality. In case of purchase, the government’s stock purchase rules have not been followed. Based on the seriousness of the matter, Ramadhar Rajak has demanded immediate investigation and action against the then CMO and Municipal President and registration of a criminal case.
