Patients in All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) Raipur will no longer need to carry the files of their test reports. AIIMS and Bhilai IIT are jointly making such an app, in which the complete medical history of the patient will be available online. If he is in ICU or operation theatre, then his surgery can be seen sitting at home.

Which doctor is doing the surgery or treatment? How much is the patient’s BP, sugar and heart beat, how are medicines being given, the app will make it live on mobile. This will happen when the ID is created after the patient is admitted.

As soon as this ID and password is entered in the app, the relatives of the patient will start getting moment-to-moment information on the mobile. According to experts, the biggest benefit of this app will be to those patients who are being admitted in hospitals like AIIMS in emergency. For example, if a person is a victim of heart attack, brain haemorrhage or a major accident, then the doctors are not able to start treatment immediately because of not getting his old medical history.

Many times it also happens that the family members of the patient forget to bring the old reports in a hurry. Through this app, the doctors will immediately know whether the patient is already suffering from sugar, BP or any other disease, and what tests have been done before, etc. IIT Bhilai Professor Santosh Biswal told that with the launch of this app, the emergency ward of AIIMS will become completely paperless and online. The special thing is that the complete information about the new treatment will also be stored in the app.

Benefit from this technique in Kovid

This type of technology in hospitals is currently running in major countries like Japan, America, China, Britain. The benefit of this technology was maximum at the time of Corona. The relatives of the patient could not go to the hospital for fear of infection. During this, he kept knowing their well-being while sitting at home. Bringing this technology to India would be very expensive, that is why IITs and AIIMS are developing this technology.

A team of specialist doctors from AIIMS and experts from Bhilai IIT has started work on making the app. It is complete at the planning level. The Dean and Director of AIIMS have also appreciated it. -Pro. Rajeev Prakash, Director IIT Bhilai
