Mungeli September 22, 2020. 190 members of the Mungeli district unit of Chhattisgarh Pradesh NHM Employees Union have submitted their collective resignation to CMHO MD Tendway on Tuesday. In protest against the departmental action against the officials and members of the contract workers union who went on strike to demand regularization, collective resignation has been submitted among the employees of the district.

In the collective resignation given to the health department, the employees told that we have been working till the beginning of the scheme on the contractual post under the National Health Mission. Our basic needs are not being met. For this, the government was apprised many times about problems and demands from the Union, but till date no positive step has been taken by the government. This is the reason why we have gone on strike with the demands of the Chhattisgarh Pradesh National Health Mission Contract Employees Union since September 19.

But dismissal and FIR is being taken by the government in several districts against the striking associates. Apart from this, notice has been issued to the striking contract employees of Mungeli district to take disciplinary and punitive action by the Health Department, against which we are forced to resign collectively. However, the striking workers, who are adamant about their demands, are constantly protesting. At the same time, the government is also trying to convince the employees somehow in view of the Corona crisis, for this, an appeal is being made to end the strike.
