Talking to the local people, they told that water is not available here in any season. People have given memorandums everywhere, to Raipur Municipal Corporation, Collectorate and Zone Office, but all have failed to arrange for water. Sick, elderly and pregnant women have to climb three floors to carry water. After staging dharnas and demanding, the number of tankers is increased for a few days only. Sufficient water does not come from the pipeline of Amrit Mission Yojana. Officials and public representatives only do the work of procrastinating. There has been a demand for arranging street lights for a long time but it has not been fulfilled till now. Due to lack of light in the area, there is a possibility of incidents like robbery and assault and women feel unsafe.
People said that they took money in exchange for houses but forgot to provide facilities. Today thousands of families have to live amidst so many inconveniences and are forced to find solutions to all the problems themselves. In such a situation why should they vote. People have demanded that they will not vote in the civic elections until all the arrangements are made right.
