Bahuda Rath Yatra was taken out in Raipur like Jagannathpuri. Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh and Leader of Opposition Charan Das Mahant also participated in the Rath Yatra. Raipur MLA Purandar Mishra organized the Puja-Paath ritual. The leaders performed the Puja along with the priests of Gayatri Nagar Jagannath Temple.
It is believed that on 7th July, on the day of Rath Yatra, Lord Jagannath goes to his aunt’s house. After this, he returns to the temple through Bahuda Yatra. Artists from Odisha presented bhajans during which the Yatra was carried out. The idol of the Lord was brought into the temple while chanting the praises of Lord Jagannath.
