Raipur. The Chhattisgarh government has issued a memorandum of consent to give the CBI the authority to take action in the entire state. Its notification has been published in Chhattisgarh Gazette. Let us tell you that according to the notification issued by the state government, CBI can take action anywhere within the state limits under sections 147, 148, 149, 336, 307, 302 and 120B of the IPC.
It is noteworthy that before the current BJP government, the then Congress government had canceled the consent given to CBI on January 10, 2019 with immediate effect. Because of this, since 2019, CBI investigation has not been conducted in the institutions and cases related to the state government in the state.
