Now all ministers will be members of the authority: Cabinet approves reorganization of the five development authorities; Urban development policy will also be formulated

Many important decisions were taken in the evening cabinet meeting held in Chhattisgarh on Friday. The order for reorganization of 5 development authorities of the state has been given the green signal. This amendment will increase the scope of public representatives in all the five authorities.

At the same time, the cabinet meeting also approved the preparation of an urban development policy. This will work towards the development of cities and implementation of the state’s development plans. The Housing and Environment Department has been given the responsibility to issue its guidelines.

These works will be done in urban development policy

This scheme will work to stop encroachment and illegal construction. Work will be done to provide facilities to the urban population and solve their problems. Rules will be issued regarding residential, commercial and industrial use land in the city development plan.

What will happen with authority restructuring?

There are 5 development authorities in Chhattisgarh. The chief minister will be the chairman of each authority. Also, instead of two ministers, the entire cabinet will now be included in it. Apart from this, Rajya Sabha, Lok Sabha MPs and the District Panchayat President of the area where the authority is located have been included as members.

Other decisions of the Cabinet: An amount of Rs. 4 crore 56 lakh 72 thousand has been approved to 262 individuals and institutions from the Chief Minister’s discretionary grant item.

Decision to recruit 181 posts from Finance Department

Apart from the decisions of the cabinet meeting, the Finance Department also took a big decision on Friday. Recruitment for the remaining posts including engineers in the Public Health Engineering Department has been approved. This decision has cleared the way for recruitment to 181 vacant posts. With the new recruitment, the quality of work of the department will be improved as well as the drinking water system will be improved.

The proposal for filling up the remaining vacant posts including Deputy Engineer, Tracer, Assistant Grade-3 in the PHE department has been approved by the Finance department.
