NIT will tell how capable Tel River is for Supabeda mass water supply scheme, PHE executive engineer said – ‘The scheme is very important, hence it is necessary to examine every aspect’

Pankaj Jain, Executive Engineer of Public Health Engineering Department (PHE), on Thursday reached the location of Tel River with the team of NIT (National Institute of Technology) Raipur, where intake whale was to be built under the Supebeda water supply scheme. Is. During this time, NIT Professor Dr. Manikant Verma and Dr. Istiaq Ahmed, who were leading the team, inspected the Tel River for about 3 hours. Detailed information was collected from the officers of the Irrigation Department about the nature of the river, surface water, flow in the river during rainy season and other seasons.

At the proposed site of Intake Whale under Supabeda Water Supply Scheme, the NIT team answered many questions from the officials of the Irrigation Department on the scheme and its success on the river. He went to the village and collected a lot of information related to the river from the villagers. Knowing the answers to every question regarding the nature of river flow and the usefulness of water is necessary for the availability of adequate drinking water in the future. Apart from this, necessary data was also collected by visiting the water filter plant site under construction in Supabeda. Executive Engineer (EE) of PHE Department, Pankaj Jain said that the preliminary information has just been collected by the team. This is a series of efforts to make every possible effort before implementing this plan related to life to make it successful. The help of NIT has been taken so that the plan continues for a long time and all the conditions at the site are suitable for the plan. Whatever the team has seen so far, it has been considered suitable. The availability of water will remain constant for 12 months, on this also they will give a report soon after their research.
