Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has greeted and greeted the people of the state on the 23rd State Foundation Day. He has said that we are continuously working towards realizing the dreams that our forefathers had for the construction of Chhattisgarh. In the last four years, the Government of Chhattisgarh has started many innovative works to bring a change in the lives of the people.
The Chief Minister has said in his message that as soon as we took over the reins of the state, we did the work of handling the rural economy. He took the initiative to waive the loans of the farmers and get them a fair price for the produce. Forest rights leases, community forest resource rights were given to forest dwellers associated with water, forest, land, PESA law has been made effective in scheduled areas. Suraji Gaon Yojana was launched to ensure participation of farmers and villagers in the economy of the state. For economic activities in Gauthans, women’s groups were associated with vermi compost manufacturing. Now taking this work further, Rural Industrial Parks are being built in Gauthan. The youth are getting direct benefit of this. Due to this, new employment opportunities are increasing in the villages.
For the inclusive development of the state, we have started Nyay Schemes Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana and Godhan Nyay Yojana, Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhumiless Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana. All the sections of the society are getting a chance to move forward with self-respect through these Nyaya schemes. Today the ground results of the public welfare schemes being run in the state are in front of us in a positive way. With the public friendly schemes of the state, we are writing a new chapter of ‘Nyay’ and we are continuously moving towards creating ‘Nawa Chhattisgarh’. This is the reason why unemployment in Chhattisgarh is the lowest in the country.
Shri Baghel said that the state government has taken steps to preserve and promote the culture, rites and resources of Chhattisgarh as well as implement an accessible and smooth administration system. New administrative units have been formed for the development to reach every corner of the state and every person. In the last four years, six new districts, 85 tehsils and 11 new sub-divisions have been created.
Chhattisgarh is the only state in the country which is giving subsidy for the cultivation of Kodo, Kutki, Ragi under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana. Along with the manufacture of vermi compost under Godhan Nyay Yojana, now cow urine is being procured. Under the Chief Minister Mitan Yojana, government documents are being provided to the citizens sitting at home. Medicines are being made available to the needy at subsidized prices at Shree Dhanwantri Generic Medical Store.
Paddy was purchased in support price and the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana encouraged the farmers of the state, who had given up farming. Those farmers have also now turned towards farming. A target of 110 lakh metric tonnes has been set for the procurement of paddy this year. Paddy procurement work is starting from November 1 in the entire state.
Many schemes have also been implemented in the field of education and health. Swami Atmanand English Medium School and Swami Atmanand Hindi Medium School have been started. In order to provide treatment facilities to the needy, Rs. 5 lakh to poor families and up to Rs. 50 thousand annually for other families under Dr. Khubchand Baghel Health Scheme and up to Rs. 20 lakh for treatment of serious diseases under Chief Minister’s Special Health Assistance Scheme. Help is being given. Health infrastructure from primary health centers to district hospitals has been strengthened. Along with this, Mukhyamantri Haat Bazar Clinic Scheme, Chief Minister Urban Slum Health Scheme, Dai-Didi Clinic Scheme have been started. The state government is determined to make Chhattisgarh a prosperous and developed state by taking all sections together.
